Kingpin Bearing...HELP!!

(1/2) > >>

Dan2020:
My passenger side Kingpin bearings are knackered, and I've already blown my budget on a set of Birfeilds as my much smaller Spanish versions blew.

I have been told you can re-pack these bearings, is this true and how do you do it??

Any help please need to play in the mud!!

winchman:
Fit new ones not expensive about £20-25 for the four.
Some one on here will know  the size, try your local bearing supplier BSL etc.
I might still have some in the garage?
Just thought
Whats exactly up with them? Might just need shimming ( Adjusting) to remove the play.
If they are red rusty and seized you need new, or if shimming wont take the play out
I think Suzuki Tech have an article on how to do it?

Dan2020:
Got a price from suzuki and there £25 each plus VAT!!! :(

There is a bearing specialist nearby that I could take them to, good idea!!

They are seized (rusty red), passenger hub is very hard to turn when I tighten the Kingpin bolts.

New it will have to be then, cheers for the help!!

rhino-force:
Hi there i can do you 4 used but good ones delivered for £25 as long as there all the same as these were removed from a samurai.

Cheers!

winchman:
Dan read up on how to set the play as you need to understand this  before you start.
Is no one local to you who could lend a hand?
