It's Grim Outside

Got in from work this afternoon about 1-30. Fine but windy so decided to change fan belt. 15 minutes later blowing a gale and the rain started. Went to pick up No 1 grandson at 5 and it really let loose. At one stage it was like driving up a waterfall. :shock:

You're better off looking at the Inshore Forecast as it's slightly more detailed and has the 24 hour outlook on it. :wink:
Plus it'll be updated at around 6-30 tonight.

Didn't prove that bad in the end- my estimate was a Force 8. The ferries are huge and are stabilized. I have sailed in bigger seas in much smaller boats!

The Met Office is forecasting another spell of very windy weather from late on Wednesday 17th January, and through Thursday 18th January. Severe gales are expected across much of England and Wales, possibly extending further north into Northern Ireland and Southern Scotland, with gusts in many parts of around 60-70 miles per hour, and a risk of some gusts exceeding 80 miles per hour, particularly in upland or exposed places. Winds are expected to ease from the west during Thursday afternoon. Some disruption to transport and utilities (power) is expected. This warning will be updated by 1100 on Tuesday 16th January 2007.

Just looked for the BBC Dover Harbour webcam but that's broken now! This one's still live will take a look on Thursday....

It's just wet a miserable here. Had it been nice I'd have taken my Escort for a spin, had it been snowing......
But wet and windy, didn't even want to take the dogs out.
