There's been a lot of cross-posting recently (the same message in several different forums).  As I always tend to "View posts since last visit", so see all new messages regardless of which forum they're posted in, I'd prefer not to see cross-posting, partly as you then have to check several threads to keep up with the discussion, and also because people can waste time duplicating answers.

Does anybody else have any opinions on this?  I'm not going to make a big fuss about it, but if the majority of others don't like it either, maybe it's worth encouraging people not to.

You do tend to see stuff in both RRC and Disco forums, the worst thing is that the threads can go off in different directions and as it's often technical stuff I think it's counter productive.  I read other other people's threads as I find them interesting sometimes, I don't know but i think we should discourage it a little.

Only thing is, when you need an answer in a hurry, where is the best place to post?

I thought that cross-posting on forums (not just Mud Club) was frowned upon. I think people should refrain from doing it.

I have no problem with it tbh. There are lots of people who dont visit M/C for example. I only visit 2 forums, m/c and LRUK, if something is posted on difflock then I dont see it for instance.

Im not a member of DOC for example so I may not know a topic has been started over there similar to my thread.

I spend far too much time on forums as it is and dont want to make myself even sadder by joining more off road forums!!!
