Any tips please ??

Howdy all, Im usually found on the forum around the  Muddy disco section, But me brother inlaw  was asking me today about purchasing a freelander, His needs are  dog walking (2 labs) clay shooting (so more like muddy pot holes than green lanes) General commuting,

He would like good drivability (if that makes sense) reasonable fuel ecconomy,  and reliability (He is replacing a 13 year old merc that is tight as a button and has Never missed a beat)
He has a budget of 7K

What ya reckon ??    Have already advised him about the "issues" of the k series ones,  Many thanks
TD5 with a few Tweaks ;o)
a bit more fuel friendly than the V8

I would go for the TD4, only because I have one

Use mine for work, and is suprisingly good on the old greenlanes :D

He could consider a commercial version, stacks of room inside and all plastic so no need to worry about your interior if you have a muddy dog to put in the back.

Cheers
