Bearings.

Am going to replace the osr hub bearings tomorrow.  Just trying to remember a few things;

I have me one shot grease gun ready (gonna do the props while i am down there) was just trying to remember how much grease to use between the bearings and also how tight to do the hub nuts etc....

Its been a while since i got to do this kind of thing!

Don't use one-shot in the hub beraings, it's for the front cv/swivel housing.

It's more important that you pack the bearings with grease than use lots in the wrong place.  Most of the grease around a bearing never does anything but prevent the tiny amount in the bearing being thrown clear.

Tighten the hub nuts back up 'till there is just a tiny amount of play, I check by levering the hub away from the locknuts and checking the gap with a feeler guage because a new oil seal on the hub will keep it tight against the nuts otherwise so you can't check for endfloat the way it shows in the manul ie with a DTI.

Noraml is LM, lithium based HMP grease, usually a creamy brown and available in filling stations.  
I use the water resistant green stuff from Lucas oils.

DON'T use copper grease or red n tacky.

Done it with one shot as local main stealer said it doesnt really make any difference.  

Have done it now, needed a replacement stub axle as well, but at least its working lol
