I appear to have a problem with the passenger power window. Makes my navigator a bit bloody [!Expletive Deleted!] off when he has to climb in the back to have a fag!!

Anyway, when you press the button the motor just clicks. Assume I need to replace the motor but I have no idea how to detach it from the cables. Any ideas anyone??

Me too!! Mine goes down and not up!!

and its defo motor i did check for greasing up here and there and it is no go! Disconnect the window and see if the winder runs, if so then prob dry rubbers!

Failing that you can join our "christmas brussel sprout torure your navvy club" whose moto is ' There is no escape'

or just visit the local breakers and chuck him a tenner!

Me too - I have to ask why the passenger motor all the time??

Mine is definitely a weak motor has to have assistance to enable it to rise

The wiring has a plug in the circuit so it's easy enough to disconnect  - not so sure about getting it out though  :lol:  :lol:


I have a feeling that if the motor was stripped and cleaned it might work a bit better, but I haven't yet got around to it.

its a common one this, The motors have current sensors on them this is what makes them stop when you wind them up or down on auto, unfortunatly when the rubbers get dry and a little sticky these sensors cut in and cut out the motors, the best thing to do is give the motors a hand to wind the windows down and give the inside of the rubbers a realy good dose of silicone based spray,( do not use greese or oil as this damages the seal) then send them up and down a few times then give them another spray and you should find all is well again ;)

Tried that wonderful cure and it didn't work for me, I'm pretty certain I have a very lazy motor :(

didnt work for me either! lol! Even when i detatched the glass, it looked at me in a gormless fashion! lol!

New motor here too! Must be common cos the scrappy wanted £75 plus vat!!...i told him to carry on wanting cos he wasn't getting!! rofl!
