muddy_90:
ive heard about people fitting monado alternators, ill try and find some more about for u
Devon-Rover:
That sounds very good value.
The current new one you can get is the 45 amp one as per the LR90.
Or you can get the HD one from the 90 110 range at 65 amps. and that will be around 70 quid from the likes of craddocks. The main thing to check is that the connectors on the back match. I know that the 90 / 110 ones match as they both have the A-115 meaning the connectors are right, and also they were offerd on the early 2.25's so the mounts must fit as there is no alternative mount given in the parts book.

im running the 3 electric points fitment atm, but can always re-wire, can't find much on the tinternet so far!
Range Rover Blues:
You can pick up an ex-Range Rover 65 amp one for a lot less than that on E-Blag, I wouldn't want to run much more than that freom a standard vee blet. I have an 80 amp one that can eat a stock belt in an afternoon so I run an extra wide one.
If you want one with the blade connections on the back rather than terminals try a MkII fiesta or MkIv Escort for a 55 amps Bosch or Lucas unit, the Lucas can be spun round to mount either way too. Again don't be paying £50 for it unless it's reconn.
