Whilst having never played any of the vast quantity of games available for PC, X-box, etc.........., (not even arcade games as a kid),
I saw one the other day that was on the 'Blue Yonder' home-page.
Well, I take that it's a game??
Is this the level of graphics that is prevalent today?
It combines 3 of my favourite comic/graphic novel charactors
Wolverine, Thor & Nick Fury
Ultimate Alliance?
Also;
Is this a game, or a film/TV series??

First one looks like CGI for a game, while the second one is most definately a game due to the ingame graphical standards that were surpassed quite some time back. :wink:
This is not far off an ingame graphical level of today.
This is ingame graphical level of today, or at least with the Xbox 360.
While this is of the graphical level of over a year ago with the use of the original Xbox.

Have an SGI Indy2, Maximum Impact sat back in my Basement in Calgary. When I paid $800 for it, it was a little old, but still considered the best CGI engine you could buy.
For a computer that cost £10,000+ 10 years ago it cant even come close to the output of a PS2/Xbox 360 and it was built specifically to do that sort of stuff. That said most PC cards leave it for dead now too :(

That 'Halo' game looks very impressively 'put together'
My liking for the visuals of the 'Ultimate Alliance' doesn't mean that I'm going to break the habit of a lifetime though.

I just found out that if i want to play Splinter cell, Double agent i will have to upgrade my video card. I ONLY have 128mb video ram and need double that to BARELY play the d**n game! :shock: Chaos Theory (the old version) barely creaked along.
Microsoft Flight Simulator X needs a similar card if you want to use the full range of graphics on it. But the graphics are gorgeous. 8)
My first PC 12 years ago had 32mb of ram and a 2mb video card.
