why i'm moving

(1/5) > >>

woody:
friday evening
 sat watching TV
and there is a loud thuding sound coming from outside
i go out front to investigate and a group of youths are seen leaving a garden, 2 doors away.
turns out they had been throwing bricks at the front door of a house that is vacant
an hour later they were back with something larger and louder
went out and told them i had just phoned the police. they all ran off

saturday
whle talking to a neighbour i found out that the police removed 12 drug users from said house previous week

sunday
well, i took my favourite mag (LRO) and a very large glass of wine upsairs to help me relax while i have a bath.
quietly soaking drinking and reading there is this loud banging
2 adultsare trying to gain access to the house 2 doors away using what sounds like a sledge hammer
wife phones the police but the suspects fail and leave before they arrive

another nieghbour has all the local drug dealers on video (police say the quality is not good enough to prosicute)selling down our back alley
as for the area i moved into this isn't it

it used to be great you knew all the neighbours and were quite frendly
but as people leave the area there housees have been sold and turned into rented property or worse still housing association
now i know less than half a dozen people on the street and the amount of people coming and going thruogh the rental route is unbelievable
so
come March my probationary period at work is up and we are moving

Yoshi:
I'm sorry to hear about your issues, but i would like to add that there is nothing wrong with housing association or rented accomodation.

I have lived in both and i must say that without it i would be on the street as there is no way in hell i can actually buy a house, so basically saying i am finding your comment about how bad the area is because the houses have been turned in housing association or rented accomodation rather offensive.

muddyman:
I live in a housing association accomodation, does this make me a bad person too :?:

Horness:
I think Woody is referring to some of the tenants, not every one in the country.

Like 4x4 owners.  Some are thoughtless countryside vandals, the majority are not.

Don't take it personally.

Sorry to hear about you woes Woody.  My Mother-in-Law has similar problems, except they are next door.  Drug dealing, s**tting in the entry between the two houses (which both parties use), abuse, broken bottles, loud music etc.  She's on her own at 68, and the Police don't want to know because the Land Lord spends most of his time out of the country.

I don't know why people think they have to behave worse than animals these days.

Horness

thanks for putting it better than me 8)
trying not to tar everyone with the same brush
when your on the front line and nothing is getting done it does seem that everyone in rented property is the problem
when in reality it is the minority causing the problems
but the problems always seem BIG
forgot to mention about the 2 bodies found on thursday in nearby flats
still trying to find out what happened there :?:
