That's nothing, that's only 186mph (300km/h).  Now the Hayabusa is a complete animal.

Well, I've never even ridden a bike on the road, so I've got to ask...  what's the point of all that power if as soon as you apply it, the nose goes up in the air and you have to come off the gas again?  :?

You need power to have a high top speed as well, remember? ;)

My father's friend has a Hayabusa, and he loves it for the speed but it is far from being one of the better handling motorcycles.  He basically picks the Hayabusa if he wants to go riding with just pure speed, or he'll pick his R1 for fun maneuvering as he claims it's far lighter and a lot easier to throw about.

I agree, unless it's on a private track, to which their is plenty of access.  Can you imagine how fast that bike was passing those cars, the car driver's don't have chance to see it coming.  No wonder they are called donor cycles in A&E.

I also watched the turbo bike vid, what a waste, every time the turbo comes in the front wheel lifts, how unsafe is that?

I agree.. as a biker and 4x4 driver I agree that in MOST situations speed is totaly irresponsible -but dont forget that as far as I remember this is a free country where we have freedom of choice....this is the problem with the anti's..today 4x4.. tomorrow ?????????
LIVE AND LET LIVE, just because YOU dont like it - doesnt mean someone else has to suffer....
also how many of OUR 4x4's go faster than 70mph??????? remember that is the speed limit ;)

Mixed feelings on this one... Looks like Germany to me where some of their autobahns have no speed limit. No problem.

However... the speed differential should someone pull out could have been exciting... it was bad enough when the Jag was in the outside lane and he had to brake from 300kph to 100kph. Just looked it up... 300kph = 186mph, the speed differential when he braked..... 200kph = 124mph!

Having said that... didn't seem to be a problem for the bike.

Impressive whatever camp you sit in.

The speed differential is kinda new pants time when it happens at any speed    I have done sillly things like this in the past   , not quite that fast , but have now realised that I am just skin and bone
A little wiser and all that
The brakes on these bikes are amazing, as you see scrubbing 124mph in a couple of seconds, but did you see the jag in time? I didnt,
Each to their own I think  8) not for the feint hearted

And that's what p***es me off, it's not just his own skin he's putting at risk.  If you need to act like an irresponsibl;e a**e on a motorbike, do it in private.

Doesn't that follow the bobble hat brigades ethos as well?  its not just a lane your damaging by driving it, its thier lane as well.  So do they have the right to criticise us?  I think not, because its not just thier lane to walk, its also mine to drive.

Everything you do in life has an effect on others.  Some don't mind, some do mind.  Others seem to think that they have the right to mind on other peoples behalfs or on the basis of "what if...".

Well you all know where I stand, I been involved in this argument before, Its not the speed going up, but if some one pulls out on you ... The quarter back is toast!
The car in front may look in his mirror see nothing indicate pull out by then you are in his boot!

I say speed is fun, but keep it on the track.

But OMG thats some powere 0-100 in about 5 seconds!

bezzabsa you do have a valid point about live and let live and its a free country, however 220mph is against the law  and in my eyes different to doing 80mph in a 70mph limit.
If want to walk it walk it, if you want to ride it ride it just leave me alone to drive it!

There are only two words you need to consider with this. It's not about freedom of action or live and let live. Those things don't exsist in this country and never have (and rightly so.)

Those two words are....... THE LAW.

Simple isn't it!
