Andy the Landy:
My Ma 'n' Pa have their own and dissapear for weeks on end. The good thing about boating is the relaxed atmosphere away from the rat race and a pub at lunchtime and a pub in the evening

Bush Tucker Man:
Devizes & Caen Hill..

Sheer masterpieces of Waterway Engineering.

As are;

Three Rise & Five Rise at Bingley on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal are also worthy of note.
Standedge Tunnel at Marsden (over 3miles under the Pennines to Lancashire)

The restoration photos are quite good

'Frankie-Boy' has been known to play about on boats as well

dracula:
Many, many years ago when I was a lad ,I spent several happy weekends
helping the Kennet+Avon Restoration group.
It was here I was introduced to a local brew "6X".
After that life became a blur
Happy Days,
Paul.

Tiny Tim:
Had some excellent hols on the canals.

Can you be done for 'drunk in charge of a narrowboat' ?

Once breezed into Stratford On Avon dancing on top of a 60 ' narrow boat to Bob Marley's Jammin. Went down well with the tourists - they couldn't get out the way fast enough !

Dark Side Of The Moon through tunnels is also highly recommended

Yes, you can.

They have even started doing breathalyser tests on some waterways.
