grand cherokee late 2002 2.7CRD - Indicators Fail
« on: December 06, 2006, 13:24:15 »
Can anyone help with an intermittant problem ?

Every now and again the indicators will not function, You flick the lever and no dash lights, no flashing , nothing

Found that if I hold lever in up or down position and flick hazzards on and then off the indicators will start and work most of the day. This beacame harder and then had to wiggle the lever with hazzards on quite a bit.
I noticed this was all one multi function switch assy and so when near a dealer asked there tech and he had a quick look and agreed a switch assy. I bought a new one and Ok for a week. Now starting to happen again although easier to get back than with the old switch as only have to press hazzards once. Bit like the start of the old switch.

Ive check wiring connections as much as I can see and clean and tight. Cant think a new switch has failed ? could it ?. ANyone had this before ?
