Clarkson loves his 90
att:
I am in complete agreement, infact, I feel he was being very kind.
Sooner they are gone, the better for all of us, I really do dread seeing a LandRover up ahead when I am on the road, they are a pain in the proverbial, only knocked off first place by horseboxes
If I have offended any enthusiasts in the making of this comment...
..Truth hurts don`t it

It might, if it were the truth
Thing is you don't see many jap 4x4 that are the same age as Blue, or in the same condition, or as cheap to fix, or as reliable.
Remeber, the car in front is a toyota, it's till in the b****y way though

I can't see too much wrong with this article either. I always find his writing very amusing and entertaining. This is no exception. Basically, he's right. The Defender is outdated. There is no reason, in this day and age, why a capable off road vehicle can't be ergonomically designed and have a decent heater and comfortable seats!
I absolutely love my old 110. It makes a great load lugger. It pulls out tree stumps. It doesn't matter too much if I dent it. It is excellent off road. But it's dreadful to drive any distance. And there is no way I would ever go out and spend £21k on a new one. There are far better options around now.

There is one reason why this member of Ford Motor companies premier automotive group keeps making Defenders, becasue poeple keep buying them. I believe that's called a democracy, no one is holding a gun to their heads after all.
I notice Clarkson didn't even bother trying a cayenne/Shogun/naff4 et al on his hores box.
