Big Al:
We went to Morocco earlier this year, and its not that sandy.
Its more stony/rocky, difficult to explain, image Moon surface, thats the closest we could think of.
There are only a few areas with real sand dunes, but they were fairly easy to traverse. The key is plenty of welly to keep you moving.

Most of the Landys I've seen heading out to Morocco have had the pierced steel planks attached. More surface area to put weight on.
