OIL IN THE ECU LOOM!!
jimthelandyman:
I work at a dealership, done a loom myself could easily be done at home if you are a competant at mechanics don't think we replaced any other parts not sure if the seal comes with it that seals the injector harness.
smith335:
is there a gasket on the camshaft cover?
any one know the part number for the harness?and gasket (if there is one)
thanks

--- Quote from: "smith335" ---any idea how much the injector harness will cost?
what other parts will i need to do the job?
i will do it my self,if i can and want to get all the parts round me before i start(its my only form of transport)
if its not a diy job, how much would the dealers charge?
thanks

The loom is about £65,any ive done unless the rocker cover gasket is burst then i dont replace it,
the injector harness comes ready to fit,no other parts required unless u want to fit a rocker cover gasket as a precaution
smith335:
thanks for that, not as bad as i thought,i may just get the rocker gasket just in case, its a long walk if i do need one.
think i can tackle it my self, any top tips fron the guys that have done this before?
thanks for the help so far.
Xtremeteam:
remove the engine cover
remove the 10mm/8mm bolts holding the rocker cover down, whip the breather pipe off 7 tuck back out the way,u can either by feel undo the sound pad on the back of the block or work with it in place,
lift the rocker cover up out the way taking the gasket with it,now you should be able to see the loom, unplug the black multi plug that is external to the head ,then unplug all the injector plugs & fire the old loom to one side, rebuild is reverse of strip down, when u put the rocker cover back on put the seal on the cover, also the sound pad at the back might catch a bit
