Well i had to go to the US with work and i thought while i was over i would look for a few bits to see what i could get.

I have wanted a new carb and manifold for a while now so i had a look at the Edelbrock 500 CFM + low rise performer manifold. At home this is well over £800 for the kit.

Over here in the US the kit is under $500

boy do we get turned over in the UK......

Trouble is you get stung for the tax, so even buying over there and shipping it gets expensive.

Now, when they allow hand luggage again..........

ordered it today $511 total with Exchange rate of 1.80 even with import duty that's a good saving.

Yep i thought so. The guys over here in the US just cant believe how much we pay :) oh and gas at $2 a gallon is going to be hard to get away from when i come home :(
