Hi guys,hope someone can help.
I bought one of those centre binacles with the altitude ,land meter , and compass in them from a shogun and would like to fit it to my range rover.
Ive had it sat around for about a year so i decided to have a go to see if i could get it working.
I have managed to get it lit up but the W-N-E bit flashes and i cant seem to get it to work.Pressed the buttons held them in and alsorts. Is there a test procedure or set up to do when they are first wired up ?
Also is there supposed to be a clock there or something ?

If anyone has or knows the wiring for one of these could you please let me know.So far i have discovered the following :

Orange +
Brown -
Grey,Inside temp sensor wire
Blue, outside temp sensor wire
black, illumination when lights are on (+)

and thats it.

cheers guys,
andy

to set it you press the set up button and drive round in a circle, car park best for this, try both ways.

hi thanks for the reply.
I tried that but had it connected to a battery.I went dizzy going round and round and round for ages in my kitchen.
Is there a seporate sensor for it ?
I pressed the button with the S on it,and the little pointer just scans left to right.

Yes there is a sensor, it was the little box inbetween the pod and the window.
Wont work without it.

Inside temp sensor is under the steering column, you can buy those off ebay, might be able to buy compas sender off there too.
Wiring diagram might be a bit harder, i did have the full wiring schematic for the whole vehicle but that was in french!!! think i might have deleted that.
