She is gorgeous, I love collies, they hate looking stoopid don't they. I have one but he's not very bright really. Right now he's staring at the cat waiting for it to run about, like the cat cares!

My mums is far from bright too bless her.

We rescued her 11 years ago and she hadher head under the back gate trying to get out all day as the people who used to own her had a kid that screamed all day and she wasnever allowed off the lead on walks.

She hates all kids under 5 years old and most dogs too. We did have another dog who changed her ways very quickly as he kept on going up to her n trying to play but she didnt want any of it at first and then she actauly liked the idea of playing!!! She took a chunk out the side of him in the car once coz he moved to close to her!!

She has improved greatly since we got her thank fully. She is nearly 100% deaf, her sight isnt as it used to be, and she has had arthritis for 11 years too but yet she still acts like a puppy throwing her toys around etc. Mad as a hatter that dog :D

Sounds like you've worked wonders with her, some collies can be so damaged by previous experiences they can't be helped... I know, I had one. Look after her, they are so precious.

It was mainly our other dog who worked the wonders. She did need some serious telling off when she stole things like a whole gammon joint.

Only time she eats people now is when we lift her into the car and get it wrong and it hurts her back legs with the artritis in. Its a fair cop so we let her off those nips!!!

I had a rescue collie that was 9 months old, it had gotten a bitch pregnant and she kept attacking him, i couldnt keep him though as i lived in the centre of town and he needed some serious running space, so now he lives with me mother down south in a little village surrounded by fields.  But he is still really scared of other dogs and people :(
