Shouldn't be funny but!!!!!
muddyjames:
Today my Mum came and visited me at my house. I have 2 full length glass patio doors andmy Mums dog is 14 years old.
Dog, Mum and I were out in the garden and we came in. Mums dog loves to be in the garden and watch the birds fly by etc. This time she wanted to come in too and didn't realise the door was shut and hopped up to jump the little ledge into the house to come in and she hit the door full on bless her  I saw the whole head hitting the door followed by the legs etc. It looked like a car crumpling in an accident. Thankfully she is ok and no damage done. It may have knocked some sence into her! :?
She looked very shocked on why she just hit something. She was inteligent enough not to try again or go and try the door next to it and later on in the garden she didnt jump to come in, she walked up to it and put her paw out to see if there was anything there. This time the door was open so was very funny to see her slowly walking forward and trying to paw the door until she was inside  If only I took photos of her doing this.

Our dog has done this before a long time ago, shouldn't laugh it was funny though  .He never did it again, he his still as daft as ever and he is nearly 12.
Hope your mum's dog is ok, shame you never got any pics

I didnt think she was going to jump up as at her own house the back door is glass but 2 panels unlike mine and she has never hit it. When I saw her paw go up I thought she was going to paw the door as she does at home and then bark to come in. Silly dog!!!!!
Cate:
Awwww bless! I hope you gave her a big hug.
muddyjames:
I did indeed give her a big hug. I could sence she felt a bit daft and she lay down (well more like flopped) behind the sofafor a few minutes and then came bac out and wanted a hug and she doesn't normally ask for hugs.
that is her a few years ago before she became deaf after a bad ear infection!!
