3 litre Isuzu

Anyone know where you can get the diesel pump on a 3 litre Isuzu Trooper tested? My local garage says the local diesel place can't do it nor can the main dealer!

Is there an issue with this engine?

Thanks.

Mike

Err, yes....two oil pumps, high and low pressure, bearing faces machined into the (£1000) sump casting, which is the first bit that gets knackered..the list goes on.
They suffer premature failure due to oil starvation somtimes at VERY low miles. They have two scavenger pipes (to feed two oil pumps) these have a rubber o ring to seal them, only they don't (seal that is) consequently you get oil starvation as the pump sucks air and then the thing can die a quick and painful death. On the bright side, the seals cost about 25p and are a piece of cake to fit, can do them in about 20 minutes.
Cheers, Karl..
