V8MoneyPit:
Maybe the owner was trying to eke out 650 miles from a tank of fuel!!

Evilgoat:
Tis right though, they can actually shift, few of them Around calgary.

Orr got overtaken by one in the DMC, sat there, though @i'm not having that' and went after it. And lost :(

Purile I know but hey :)

On the original DMC engine then too, 88.8MPh yeah right, where did they get that number from.

Range Rover Blues:

--- Quote from: "thermidorthelobster" ---  And it does 600 miles on a tank of petrol.

So did my Deisel coarser but it wasn't a great car. (used to park it outside other people's houses and pretent it wasn't mine).

rollazuki:
To be fair to the Pious, its not a bad car, driven plenty of em at work, and they are swift(will top 110mph)
Bloody clever as well, in the way they work, regenerative braking and all that.
The battery was Warranted for 5 years, has a life expectancy of probably 10 at least(Ive never seen one replaced yet in our dealership), and the only point where the  'greeness' loses out at the moment is the 'end of life' of the car. The battery costs a lot to dispose of!  However, it can be recycled, so thats good eh. as time marshes on and we become better at recycling, Im sure the Pious and similar cars will become a better and better prospect.

Anyway, just so you lot can see how special the prius really is, who knows what kind of petrol motor is in there???????

Its 4 cyl, 1500cc, but not an otto(4 stroke) cycle motor.   Its an Atkinson cycle engine. Fancy bit of kit, Google it and have a look.
