I was going to work the other morning on a fast but windy A road - everybody was doing 60(ish) when all of a sudden everything ground to a 30 mph pace to join a convoy. I fully expected to see a lorry , or 4x4 pulling a trailer of livestock as it was market day, but no. It was a Toyota Prius in front.  pink flowers were being emitted by the exhaust!

it was being driven so slowly that even the lorries where forced to overtake - the number of accidents that Tw*t could had caused was unbeleiveable as traffic was passing him just avoiding oncoming traffic.

Good for the environment it may claim be, but BAD for Life

In fact - not very good for the environment. The cost to the environment in the manufacture of the battery cells and the extra kit in the car is huge. And what happens to the batteries when they reach the end of their natural life (about 5 years at best, I understand)?

The Prius, and all the other so called 'environmentally friendly' hybrid cars are a complete whitewash. The cost to the environment in any vehicle has to be measured by it *total* emissions, not just those out of it's exhaust.

So, not only are they a hazard on the roads, but they will also do more damage to the planet than a well maintained old V8 Land Rover.

Hang on a minute.  This is nothing to do with the car.  If the driver wants to drive like a pillock, then that's one thing, but you can hardly blame the car.  The 0-62 time is less than 11 seconds, so to assume that just because it's a green car means the performance is awful is a total fallacy.

he was looking in the glove box for a new pack of AAA's.
Either that or the wind up key for when hes gone a mile and theres no where to plug it in

It's a dual petrol-electric vehicle.  It charges its batteries up using regenerative braking, and a generator.  So you don't ever plug it in.  And it does 600 miles on a tank of petrol.
