Thanks for the replies, how much hieght do you gain from drilling the standard one?, doesn't look like a lot.

I reckon a good inch, but thats quite a lift to clear the bumper, also you want to check whether it will catch on the rear wiper too

Indeed, I  lifted mine an inch or so and re-drilled the carrier, I had to cut a small 'U' shape out of the lefthand side of the carrier so it didn't foul the wiper arm but it worked a treat.
