Spare wheel carrier.
alarmgard:
Can anyone reccomend a replacement spare wheel carrier for a discovery, as i have larger wheels to fit and the standard carrier is not high enough for the new spare.
I have seen one from Devon 4x4 but am wondering who else does them?
Horness:
I remember reading somewhere (Discoweb possibly) that you can either turn around, or raise the OEM one to fit bigger tyres (cannot remember which). May mean drilling another set of holes though.
D44 one for me when I get my bigger boots.

hobbit:
Have a word with Paul, he (and myself later) raised the carrier by re drilling the mount and moving it up
burgerman:
Yep, i would go along the route of re drilling new holes in the carrier, i had to trim a bit of a lip of the top edge, but nice n simple and cheap, just as we like it :)
Budgie:
I went for the D44 carrier, no drilling, slotting or cutting anything off and it gives me about 2 inches of clearance between the tyre and the bumper with 33x12.5x15s on. :D
Although it's a wee bit more expensive. :(
One advantage with the D44 is that it's built to take the weight of the larger tyre/wheel and you won't get the probelm of the studs pulling through.
