a few (quite a few) pics from our travels
« on: October 11, 2006, 01:45:12 »

Bulgaria at a place called Belogradchik, if you're ever in Bulgaria check it out, it's a cool place just to be.

Our truck

Beach in Turkey, this was about the first sunshine we'd seen since leaving Blighty.

our first day in Jordan

our first night in the desert.  If you've never spent a night in a desert, try it before you die, it's amazing.

me flying my Kite on the Beach in Aqaba, Jordan, that's Egypt you can see in the back ground.

My parents hire car offroading in Jordan.

Ice forming on a tree at high altitude Jordan.

Sunset in Wadi Rumm, another amazing place to go and my first real taste of sand driving.

just shows the scale of the place, us and some fellow travellers in Rumm

jumped to Ethiopia now, a typical road

road in Northern Kenya, did about 180kms (111 miles) of this with a broken spring :(

and there's me fixing said spring.

This was the main road in to Maralel from the north, the last stretch of about 700kms (450ish miles) off off tarmac driving and the first fuel stop for 800kms (500 miles).

Sunrise over Killimanjaro

A HUGE tree in the Mt. Elgon national park in Kenya.

Sunrise over Kampala, Uganda

speaks for it self

We met this coming off the ferry accross the bottom of Lake Victoria, the track leading to the ferry puts some green lanes to shame.

Senga Bay on Lake Malawi, just Chillin'

View from Dedza Mountain in Malawi

Classic Botswanan Sunset

sunrise at Dune45 Nakluft nat. park, Sossusvlei, Namibia

My better half on Dune 45

Dune 45 in colour

these dunes are among the largest in the world though dune 45 at only 170m tall is one of the babies here.

and finally

THE END?
