(And everyone who replied so quickly)

Thank-you for your help yesterday. Unfortunately the car was in field of mud when we picked it up but we pulled it to the nearest forecourt and got underneath. End result was that the diff-lock wasn't engaging so a quick fumble underneath got the light on. Drive restored (to the back at least) I managed to drive the 130 miles back with little fuss. It seems to be overfuelling/smoking a bit. I'll be able to see what I've bought now it's daylight but I'm putting off going outside in case it's a heap! I'll bite the bullet later.

Anyway, cheers for your help. If there's ever anything I can do in return, let me know. Great to know there's such good guys on mud-club! You've a few pints waiting if you're ever in the North East.

Cheers.

Simon.

Pics are now in my gallery.

I've spent the morning cleaning it inside, out and under to get a bit more of an idea of the condition. On the whole it looks pretty good. The chassis seems to be ok, bulkhead is fine. Inside the doors is pretty grim but I gather they are all like that!

Jobs to do:

Front Diff/Axle/Whatever,
Weeping seal on hub (see pic of wheel)
Interior light,
Keep an eye on footwells,
Diesel weeping from connections to fuel pump,
Oil weeping from head,
Sort smoke out. Will try Forte.

I think that's it up to now, unless you can see anything in the pics I've overlooked?

Looks like I'm gonna have fun!

You could probably solve the deisel weep with just tightening the unions up a nadge.

as for the head it looks from the piccies that a new roacker cover gasket will solve that.

Else wise It'll not take much to get yourself a very nice landy!  8)

Yeah I live in one of them, but there is another (green) 90 (mines blue) on the other side of the road, which is probably the one you've seen. You would drive past his on the road from the village to the airport. You would drive past mine unless you were actually in the estate.
