Flooded?? I start mine up from outside the car andDEFINATELY dont touch the gas pedal .     If i go near the gas pedal it wont have any of it n just floods up----hence no start    Just a thought.     P.S mines a 1991 3.5 efi disco.   Hopes this helps? keep us updated

I thought this due to the smell of petrol but it's always needed a bit of pedle to fire it up ?.Pete

I Guess to take out n clean/replace the plugs and let the exess fuel evaporate of, rput it all together n give her a whirl, i know mine dont like to start straight away if the battery is a little low(not flat) As mines not an everyday car it sometimes gets a little run down,     But then again if we dont get to play in the mud we all tend to get a little run down :(    let us know what happens

If my battery is going it won't start, the EFi shuts down at below about 10 volts, so you need a good battery.

heavy duty battery is a must. Can't start mine with a standard battery and thats a 1980(ish) RRC 2 door.

tryed the other day hoping life would come, but nothing except the sound of a dying battery.
