« on: October 02, 2006, 17:47:25 »
Im getting some new tyres soon :D

Getting machos but what size shall i get.

I have a '88 Range rover V8 with 2" spring lift and 2" body lift

Now do i go for 31/10.5 which will go straight on

Or

33/12.5 which i will have to trim the arches to prevent scraping??????

Anyone got any pics of either???

I have a 5" lift on my RRC and run 33"s.
They should go on yours with no probs.
I am fitting defender arches for looks more than room but you could trim a little just to be on the safe side. It depends on the offset of the rims you plan on using.
I plan on adding a 2" body lift later too.

i agree with RRB,  i have just got 2 colways MT's in 31 x 10.5x 15 only the truck now sits 2" higher than the general grabbers that was on before so no i cannot go in to any muti story car parks and i have to be careful with the restricted hights as the truck is no 6ft 7" tall to the top of the roof.

I'm running Pro Comp MT 35 x 12.5 x R15, but need spacers as tyres rub radius arms and I cant do body lift due to roll cage.

I wouldn't for daily use Andy, firstly if they are remould they will be even taller, secondly mine is gutless now with that size on.  They don't seem to cathch the rear arches though but I have got a 2" lift.

Pop over and have a look.

I run 235/85's on mine with a 2" lift, no issues with catching the body, but with the Nissan 4th overdrive is only any good on the motorway, on A-roads its a waste of time....having said that she will cruise at 75 and do 32mpg on the motorway, you can't have it all!!

Oh with a lift they are fine, mine don't come near the bodywork on articulation at the back and the front is a little stiff so I've never had to worry.  My avatar is on 235/85/r16 with the lift BTW, they look well at home don't they?
