Jim-Willy:
I meant new as in not remoulded.  But they are very cheap, as cheap as remoulds and the lad that fitted them drives rather quickly and is having no problems with them on his Jimny other than the slight mpg loss which presumably is down to them weighing more than the road tyres they replaced.
