Mark2Disco:
i hope it solves the problem for you

muddyjames:
I do too. just need to find some extra go from somewhere now as pulling away at junctions and roundabouts could nearly be classed as dangerous and it probably is dangerous with a trailer on the back. I need aHUGEgap to pull out into.

The joys of an auto!

I think they've gone down a bit. I did the rad in my Disco about a month ago and it was only £115 to the door :)

I also had a metal filler plug rather than the plastic one on the OE radiator.

I had same symptoms so change radiator. When I got the old one out it became apparent why it was getting hot......half the fins had rotted out!

Maybe I paid £115 too. I got mine done 2 weeks ago. I didnt pay much attention to what it cost. I just closed my eyes and didnt think of the pain to my wallet!!!

I didnt see my old rad but as the water loss has stopped Im guessing my rad was near to death!!

After towing a heavy trailer that I have now found out is heavier than I thought due to extra things in and really giving it some right foot up hills today the temp needle didnt budge 1 bit so hopefully all sorted now.
