Well done Paddocks

V8MoneyPit:
I fully appreciate what you are saying mate. I sell automotive parts for a living. It's just finding the time to do it when I am on my own a lot of the time during office hours. Can't really be caught on the phone with incoming calls getting missed as a result.

I might drop Sophie an e-mail though.

As I said, I've always been happy with their service. On the occasions they do get it wrong I have always found them responsive to getting the problem sorted. That's the best you can ask of anyone really.

freeagent:
ive always found Paddocks service to be pretty good, the couriers can be a bit hit and miss, but the service is usually great.
watch what you buy though, i try to avoid anything made by Britpart, as its usually rubbish, and yes i can quote examples, like the waterpump that lasted 11 days, and the hub seals that don't fit.

Paddocks have started doing a bit more OEM stuff now, like ball joints and bearings, and its usually only a couple of quid more... is it worth fitting crap...????

Rangie3.0LtrDan:
Well this is good, the lockwashers arrived this morning, although i think i may have ordered the wrong part, cos these just look like normal round washers, even though the part numbers are the same  :?  and weirdly, they have sent me 5 as well, they are £1.03 inclusive of VAT each and they sent me the pack of 5!!

Oh well, will see what happens when the mechanic looks after lmao

V8MoneyPit:
I think you knock one side up and the other side down. This then locks the nut to the arm rather than to the shaft.

The lock washers aren't important if the nut is tightened to the correct torque. The washer is only a safety 'back up' feature.

Rangie3.0LtrDan:
Yeah, the guy who replaced the drop arm wanted it done with the lockwasher so he knew it was done properly
