NAS lights?
« on: September 19, 2004, 19:57:15 »
Bought a complete set of NAS lights for my D110 at the LRO show last week. Fitted the rear set perfect, took less than half hour and they look good.

Has anyone fitted the front ones who can give me any tips on the best way to fit them or do I really have to start cutting bits out of the existing holes to make them fit?

Can I get a set of the light surrounds that don't have the horn grills  and raised edges in? If so where is the best place to get them from. It's only the louvers and raised surround stopping them going straight in?

The louver's came with the td5's so any Landrover supplier you fancy.
I can still get part's for my series 2a so light srounds for tdi's will be easy to source i think.

Thanks for that. I know the only thing behind the louvers is the horn and blanked off it wouldn't be so loud but I shouldn't think it'll make that much difference.

Might nip to the local dealer tomorrow and see if I can get a set of plain ones. Seems a shame to have a nice set of NAS lights on the back and standard 1948 ones on the front :)

You can just move the horn over a bit to behind the rad-grill.
It's bin there for the best part of 50 years on Series Landrover's & early 90-110's.
The rad-grill will let the noise out well enough.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Wasn't expecting them to cost that much but if I can get them in black they'll do.

Thanks Andy.
