Yeah I have looked there. Not a heap of help as most of the tyres mentioned there are only available in the US which makes them quite hard to get hold of here (would prefer a UK supplier just in case a problem arrises with any of the tyres at fitting time).
I wouldn't mind those Cooper tyres, but I have had no reply to my enquires about what the specifc modifications are to get them to fit under the arches. Shame as they look awesome.
The Silent Armor tyres also looked very good, but again not available over here. :(

--- Quote from: "jstrat" ---I am pretty sure you can only just get 19" wheels on the SC.

After speaking to Thrasher those wheels were 19" and they were bloomin' tight! I assume the TD6s will still have 15/16" brakes though.

Here you go mate, a couple of 18" sizes available,

They are very very good tyres. I am actually going to pick up a set of 33" on 16" rims next weekend for my disco for two reasons, one is that they are good on the road so it saves me having to change my tyres and two, (most importantly) they are free!!!!
jstrat:
Nope, looked at those, they are too big. Diameter of over 32". There just isn't enough room in the arch without ripping out most of the plastics. Don't really want to be doing that.
I even got the Rangie crossed up on a bank to see how much room I had to play with, could only just squeeze my hand in between the tyre and the inner plastics, very tight. And I can't be 100% sure that was max compression either, but I don't think it would have gone much tighter. The stocks are 30" diameter.
Great looking tyres though wish they fitted :(
