i've had no problems with paricular garage & they done my clutch

look in recommended garages if you want the name of the place.

Given the price of a replacement clutch fork, why the hell would anyone want to weld it if it had broke? I can understand strengthening one, but to just weld a small plate across it as a repair..........................?
