I must be the luckest guy alive a R/R Sport 2005 TD6 for £2

Yes you did win it for £21 as he did not put a reserve on it. You have won the auction, but I know form past dealings with ebay, they have no powers to make him sell it to you for £21. The worse ebay can do is stop him selling on ebay again.

I would have never tried to pursue it, but his e-mail reply was not exactly friendly.................and it does sound very odd........now living in Hungry...wants paying by some payment service I have never heard of....and wants £17,500 for a £30,000 Range Rover Sports
paul_humphreys:
you can use an ebay escrow service. But tell him you want him to pay the fees. I would seek legal advice. You might get him to sell it for £21. If it was a car auction then he would have to. But as I have said ebay have no powers at all.

I'd risk losing £21 and go see a solicitor, perhaps you could sue him for the value of the vehicle.
At the end of the day.... you made the highest bid.... makes no difference if it was £21 or £21,000.
Its your vehicle once he recieves the £21...... phone the police and report it stolen.
Jim-Willy:
Situations reversed i doubt you would honour the deal (i wouldn't), i would get your £21 back and leave it at that  . I definately wouldn't spend more money on solicitors.
