Also I suspect the Rangie never existed, probably a copied picture from another site, or one he'd taken down the local garage.

Sounds like some poor soul got caught by a fake email from Ebay, it happened to a relative of mine, she ended up over $1,000 down:(

Seems like a standard e-bay scam now we sit back and look at it.

Here are the clues:

1) Pricey item going cheap.
2) One day auction.
3) "Do not use ask seller a question e-mail" (or it will alert the real owner of the e-bay account that all is not well).
4) Paypal to another e-mail address.

The e-mail about moving to Hungary just confirms it all.

Moral- look after your e-bay account details or some lowlife will use your account to commit fraud.

It's actually in reverse as the scammer is one supposdley making the payment, but it's a good read.
