Front centre seat

Lucy1978:
Mine has no middle belt either, (1973). Seatbelts were probably not a legal requirement back then, just like rear seatbelts weren't required till 1980 something.

Penguinius:

--- Quote ---The law mandating the compulsory wearing of seat belts for front seat occupiers came into force on January 31, 1983

Hardly Legaly binding but seeing that I guess you don't have to, Incedently my Landy was made after this and has 3 front seatbelts fitted as standard, I will grab a snap of it if you would still like a pic.

Jim-Willy:
Aye, a piccy would be good if it is no trouble.  Thanks.

Neil Jones:
I seem to remember there being a plate in the front dash of my dads 1971 LWB, it  read something along these lines "the safety harnesses in this vehicle comply with the ...blah blah..".  It didnt have a belt for the front middle seat or any of the second row seats when we bought it.  The front centre has now been replaced by a cuddy box, and the second row have got seatbelts on the left and right seats.

My SWB doesnt have a centre seatbelt either.  I can drive alright with 2 people in the front with me.  The person in the middle has to keep both legs in the passenger footwell and excuse me for touching their leg when selecting second (It's a seat for the smallest, which tends to be female).

Jim-Willy:
I am getting conflicting info so i will fit one then there can be no arguments :)
