tyres? a/t or m/t

just started off roading my300 tdi csw it has 2 good front tyres and 2 bad rear tyres currently bf goodridge all terrain. would i be aswell to buy 2 new rear a/t's or 4 new m/t's if so which tyre would you recommend.
any help would be appreciated.

Well I've got some BFG MTs and they're great :) Not cheap though! Heard good things about the Greenways too.

it's always best to have 4 matchign tyres with a perm 4 wheel drive system else you are putting more stress through the centre diff.

When you do have 4 new ones swap them front to back regularly then they wont wear more at one end depending on your driving style.

Ats or mts - depends what you wanna do!

bfg mt's, good in the muc and good on the road for an mt. not that dear when you compare how much longer they last than others.
you want to give gary at nene 4x4 a call he is the geeza for good tyres at the right money, and he will answer any questions you might have, he knows his stuf.
