Nissan Navara D40 Bluetooth - Phone quality
« on: September 07, 2006, 13:21:19 »
Is anyone having problems with the bluetooth phone system in the D40. I found the system excellent with the exception of the microphone quality ( until now !) My Nissan dealer suggested it was a known problem and there is nothing they could do about it

*** However here is the fix***

1. Turn the mic around from the LHS to the RHS, the mic is housed in the plastic strip above the interior lights, the mic is under the little round hole.
2. Under settings on Voice recognition, option 6 select "on" to reduce voice background noise.
3. The most effective.. select settings, then phone, then adjust the outgoing volume to 1 bar, this cuts out all the muffled effects and the voice quality is almost perfect... well worth doing.

The difference in usability is remarkable.

bluetooth poor mic performance

good fix it made the performance almost useable. I got so many complaints from people saying they couldn't hear me, that i stopped using it. they all say it is much better now. Make sure you clip the front plate onto the back BEFORE pushing it into the hole in the headlining as this makes it a lot easier to fit.
