R reg Kia sportage any good?

I'm thinking about buying a 4x4, got about £2500 to play with.  I've seen a kia sportage, are they any good?  If not, any ideas appreciated  :D

I have 1 its a 96 executive, pics in gallery, i like mine, got a good following in the states http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=UBB70  a bit heavy on juice around 23 to the gallon, had mine for 21/2 years. The only thing that has gone wrong is the immobiliser unit.

 They do tend to go in height restricted car parks where the disco does'nt  :lol:

You can get a reasonable Disco if you look for the same money, but there are some nails out there i looked at a few before i got mine!
