rear door ladder

<< < (2/3) > >>

tonka toy:
the bar is about 4 unches long ang has one bolt allready through one hole, it will not reach between the holes on the ladder.

i might just use the four hole on the ladder and forget the bar.

neil

karlo:
The bar is for fitting the captive nuts (Riv Nuts) you screw them on to the bolt put the nut in the hole then tighten the bolt which sqeeze's the Riv Nut to hold it in place,
you then mount the ladder to the Riv Nuts in the door!

landroverkeith:
i agree with gords    stupid awful idea    never ever will i use riv nuts again lol

tonka toy:
sorry to keep on about this

these nutserts, when you push the body of the insert with the bolt in into the hole and start to tighten the nut does the the smooth part collapse leaving the threaded  part to be screwed into to mount the ladder.

i wish they would put better instructions with these things :?  :?:

cheers

landroverkeith:
from wat i remember the section of the rivnut that is marked like a crinkle that collaspe`s this leave the top section smooth and whole to bolt the ladder onto.... lol i think its been a while
