disco failed mot today

Steam clean the swivles and axles, if it's not dripping it shouldn't fail.

I got a swivel kit refurb kit from mm4x4 so gonna do the front end when I get back from Wales :) might as well do them now I got the kit :)
Anybody used the kit before? Is there anything else I should get before I end up with the lot disassembled and missing something :)

I replaced my brake pipes about 6 months ago, it took me about 3 or 4 hours. I bought a made up set from http://www.automec.co.uk/ I think they were about £70. More expensive but a lot less hassle than making pipes up. The set doesn't come with new bleed nipples so order them too. G

hi

i started to do the front shock absorbers today :) got it all jacked up axle stands on the chasis rails. droped the axle expecting the spring to pop out but it didnt budge :(
can i put a bottle jack between the axle and rail to drop the axle more or do i bite the bullit and buy some spring clamps?

if so any suggestions on clamp? does it have to be "heavy duty" ?

You need a fat bloke to lean on the end of the axle for you :lol:
