Clutch pedal
« on: August 25, 2006, 13:07:37 »
A few days ago the clutch pedal stopped going all the way down when pressed. It gets just over half way down and then goes solid and you cant push it anymore, the clutch still works and the gears engage easily enough althouh the biting point is as soon as you raise your foot. Ive had a look at the pedal box and cant see anything in there that might be causing it.

Any advice would be appreciated

It has been said that, given enough time, a million monkeys bashing at a million typewriters would eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare. Thanks to the Saxo forums, we now know this to be wrong

The clutch fork could have bent or the pivot could be poking through a hole in the fork through wear. This happens on high milage vehicles that have had a couple of clutches but the fork has never been changed with the rest of the clutch. If this is the case then your clutch will fail completely before long :(
