strange alarm problem
Mace:
It's a built in safety precaution incase of an accident. Should you be involved in an accident, hazards come on and the electric doors locks open automatically. I've got a lovely video of the wife driving the Disco through a huge pot hole, huge thump as the tank guard hits the deck and the hazards come on  It should only happen after an impact though, don't know where the sensor is but it shouldn't happen under normal conditions.

its done it again today :? this time i went to start it and it wouldnt , as though the immobiliser had been activated so i turn everything off and restart no problem but then the hazards come on ( i,ve not moved the vehicle yet) so i turn all off go have a brew and come back hazards have now stopped :? everything returned to normal , i,ve checked all the earths and they seem fine to me and i,ve added an extra one to see what happens now

I had this a few times, turned out the plug was loose on the green box above the passenger footwell. If you take off the panel and look up its to the left, plugs plug in straight up. one of them was a lit loose and if you jiggle it the hazards come on, if you remove the plug the alarm sounds.

Range Rover Blues:
It could be a damp connector. Also could be a dodgy mounting on wherever the shock sensor is.
