Think the (Red/White) Police spec springs would do the job nicely-had them on a working disco that was allways loaded to the gunnels, they take the weight but give a nice supple ride, have you seen the kit the Plod get into a Rangie

Hi Bob, great pictures, i didn't know you had so many with my motor in!

For Steph & me it was a really great trip, and we're already planning the next.

a 90 with a Disco 200Tdi engine conversion had a problem with the oil cooler pipe (fixed with a couple of jubalee clips and several liters of oil). Buzz (memebr on here) had them made up for him but the climb upto the glacier was too much for them.

The 90's now having a well earned rest, before i remove the oil cooler pipes, and throw them at the specialist high pressure hose guy that made them!  The jubliet clip managed to survive the last 10 days of the holiday, so that failed crimp must have been real pony.  Anyway i'm just glad that i heard the engine note change, and switched off before it seized.

For those who don't know, the oil cooler hose joint failed as i rounded a hairpin climbing up a grave track, 8181ft up an Italian glacier.  All the oil was everywhere, except in the engine! The first repair attempt couldn't quite hold and slowly leaked my spare 4.5litres of engine oil onto the track, but a more thourgh search through my spares produced a better fitting jubilet clip, which did.  I then borrowed more oil from the others on the trip and managed to get it back up to the max, before decending back down the hairpins.

The engine smoked blue for the rest of the day, and when cold for the next two days, but appears not to have destroyed just accelerated the wear a little.  The power was down for a bit, but it came back during the next few days.

The trip was a real test for the motors, and i'm glad we all made it back to Dover in one piece.  Even after the red mist decended on the Val d'isere offroad course! (When i work out how to post the pic's, i'll give it a go)

Bob, Hopefully i'll see you at the peterbough show.

Buzz.
