Sally was excellent. Of the 8 cars only Sally and a 300 Tdi disco had no problems.
2 TD5 discos had ABS problems (sensors knackered or something)
TD5 90 had computer problems and it needed resting so the computer would reset itself
TD5 90 overheated. Driver had to drop out for a day so he could go and get a fan.
a 90 with a Disco 200Tdi engine conversion had a problem with the oil cooler pipe (fixed with a couple of jubalee clips and several liters of oil). Buzz (memebr on here) had them made up for him but the climb upto the glacier was too much for them.
A One Ten (4 months older than Sally) but that had had a new bulkhead, 300Tdi harness and a 200Tdi engine fitted developed an intermittent  starter motor problem as well has having no handbrake.

Havnt worked out the fuel costs yet but LPG (GPL over there) was available at 90% of the sevice stations on the motorway but it was a tad more expensive at about 52p/L although you do need to buy a converter at about £15 before you go.

Comfort wise she wasnt too bad. We did 350 miles one day with no ill effects except I am a little deaf now

Decided from our experiences on a few modifications though. We are going to
replace the springs (as they are now pretty knackered) with standard hvy duty and fit 2" extended shocks.
fit Caravan aircon on the roof
replace the gearbox as the worn gate between reverse and 1st gave us a few heart attacks on the switchbacks.
Might fit an additional 40L fuel tank as well.
