--- Quote from: "abinitio" ---Linda and Kirsty both had talents but who else was appalled by the way the sheep of this country fell to peices when Diana died. Never seen such a waste of grief in my life. It's sad that a family lost it's mother, sister etc, but no more than when anyone else (Mira Hindly et al excluded) dies. Four british soilders died last week protecting this countries interests(lets not discuss rights and wrongs of where they are) not out on the razz with boyfriend and the country isn't in morning.

Hear hear these boys are volunteers to do the [!Expletive Deleted!] things we don't want to think about.

I was saddened when Spike Milligan shuffled off the mortal coil. He was one of (Still is , I suppose) my comedy heroes. A great wit and genius, who else could get away with calling Prince Charles a grovelling little b*st*rd?
I think the epitaph on his stone summed it up his humour. "I told you I was ill".
A truly great person.
Diana? A victim of a road crash, in a car being driven by a drink driver. Enough said.

Freddie Mercury was the only death of a " famous " person to have hit me hard.
But, as some of you may know, a young and close family friend died recently. At 15 years old, to die seems such a waste.
