squeeky noise from engine

<< < (2/3) > >>

Super paj boy:
no,
just oil black but bit watery not like new oil

markyd:
depends on the grade they put in, and to be fair it does go black almost straight away. As i said before the only way to be 100% sure is have it changed again, along with the A/T oil, and check your diff oils and fuel, and air filter while your at it. Least then you have got a starting point for your servicing regime oh, and bung some injector cleaner in, it makes all the difference

HTH

Cheers
mark

Super paj boy:
i shall do that got all the filters on the way and some castrol gtd oil to put in it but like u said earlier it could be the belts, might have to get new set any mail order places u know of,which are cheap, but good quality

500bhp:
If the belt is causing the squeak, just hold a bar of soap against the inside running side of the belt with the engine running, but watch your fingers. We do it a lot here as the heat drys the belts out very quick :D

Super paj boy:
nice idea phil but not much room to move under ther bonnet. and i like my fingers still attached.
