the 3.0 isuzu used to have a terrible rep for reliabilty, but I assume as there was a massive recall this issue has been solved. there are some detailed thread regarding the 3,0 on www.itoc.co.uk

the 3.0 DOHC in the latter isuzu troopers was renowned for eating itself. apparently it operated at too high an oil pressure. even ones with low miles on them had bother. the recall was about the turbo and oil breather pipe. i had one and it was a great car, but it had an issue with the oil pressure sensor and was told by the dealer to sell it as soon as I could.

the rodeo is a good car. the engine is a bored out version of their old 2.8 so there will be no problems at all with it.

i suggest they are a good car and I would buy one, for what that is worth.
