like many things it was probly somthing catching on something moving, which is a problem util something either falls off or wears out...


Think i`m getting the hang of this Landrover lark!

i had a funny brake pedal on mine for about 2 weeks,couldnt figure out what it was,on wed at dinnertime at work pulled the rear half shafts out n checked the wheel bearings,

well its now fitted with 4 new bearings 2 seals & 2 stub axles cos both rear bearings had died,

on a 24 spline rear axle the shaft takes up any clearance so no play is felt

sounds daft but you sure there isnt some gravel floating round a pad, had a bit stuck in a pad on the fourtrack, drove me nuts, didnt see it til i had the pads out!
